Shut down, restart, sleep, lock or sign out, from a strip of buttons on the desktop
- Shut down, restart, sleep, lock and sign out, each one optional
- Stacks or lies flat to match the shape of its tile
- The three destructive actions confirm first, in a dashboard window
- Never forces applications to close, so unsaved work can still object
- Icons scale with the tile and follow your theme or accent color

About this widget
The buttons from the Start menu's power flyout, sitting on the desktop instead. Shut down, restart and sleep are shown by default; lock and sign out can be turned on, and any of the five can be turned off, so the strip holds exactly the ones you use.
It lays itself out to fit: a tall tile stacks the buttons, a wide one lays them in a row, and either can be pinned in the settings. The icons scale with the tile and follow your theme, or an accent color you pick.
Shutting down, restarting and signing out ask first, in a window the dashboard draws itself. Sleep and lock happen straight away, since a keypress undoes them. Nothing is ever forced: an application with unsaved work still gets to stop the shutdown and say so, exactly as it would from the Start menu.
